Day 15 - K2K

In what was the performance highlight of the festival to-date, Vance Gilbert held court at the threadgill theatre last night.. Forget curfew, i can't remember a threadgill show going to about 9:25 before.. Vance has always been wonderful when he played mainstage, but this was over 2 hours of vance, not a measly 40 minutes _ encore..

From acapella excellence, to telling us "all you white folk look alike after you haven't showered for 2 weeks", the audience went from laughter to rapture..

There's not to much else to say, other than Vance has a new live album out, somerfield live. Run do not walk to your store or computer and grab this one.. It captures quite a bit of who vance is live..
